Martha Marie Carter, 89, of Edgewood passed away Tuesday morning, July 9, 2019, at her residence in Edgewood. Martha was born May 18, 1930, in Edgewood, the daughter of Adie W. Boothe and Edna Olive Johnson Boothe. She was a lifelong resident of Edgewood and was married to Marvin Vann Carter. Martha was formerly employed as a seamstress for Malouf Manufacturing Company in Wills Point, retiring in 1981. In her spare time, she enjoyed crocheting, baking pies and playing the piano, especially at church. Martha was a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church south of Wills Point.

Preceded in death by her parents, Adie and Edna Boothe; husband, Marvin Carter, Sr. in 1975; two sons, Marvin Vann Carter, Jr. and David Allen Carter and two brothers, William Walton Boothe and James Earl Boothe.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Carter, of Edgewood; brother, Bryan “Buddy” Boothe & wife, Helen, of Wills Point and sister, Glenda Forrister, of Cedartown, Georgia.

Funeral services WERE scheduled for Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Allan Fuller Funeral Home Chapel in Wills Point with Rev. Matt Ward and Rev. Tim Mabe officiating.
