She was born on December 21, 1945, in Loogootee to Melvin “Jack” and Wilma (Clifton) Arvin.
Carolyn was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville. She married Daniel Hoffman on June 27, 1964. Carolyn worked as a member service representative for Crane Credit Union for 28 years. She was a NASCAR, IU, and Cardinal fan. Carolyn loved to spend time with her family and traveling to Branson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Wilma Arvin; her siblings, David Arvin, Nancy Elliott, Alan Arvin, and an infant brother.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Daniel Hoffman; her children, Richard (Pam) Hoffman of Loogootee, Paula (David) Mitchell of Martinsville, Christina Bollier (Billy) of North Carolina, Nathon (Loretta) Hoffman of Jasper; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Darlene (Gayle) Huebner of Jasper; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, June 18, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the Community Cemetery in Haysville. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2018, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Blake Funeral Home in Loogootee, and again on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at Christ Lutheran Church.
