Robert L. Coffey Jr.

Richmond, IN - Robert L. Coffey Jr., age 74, passed away on Thursday (November 3rd 2016) at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Boston, Indiana on September 18th, 1942 to Robert L. and Mima (Gibson) Coffey and had lived in this area all his life. Robert was an ordained minister who founded and pastored Truth Tabernacle for 40 years. He was a member of A.L.J.C since 1967, and served as a Presbyter to the Indiana District. He later became a member and pastor of Senior Ministries for Oak Park Church, and led a weekly service at Arbor Trace. Robert retired as a machinist after 25 years at Hoffco. He also taught first aid and CPR with his wife for 25 years. He enjoyed auctions with his son, being outside in nature, and southern gospel music. Robert spent his life serving people, and loved to help in whatever way he could. He loved spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren and loving wife.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years Janet Coffey; Sons Robert (Wilma) Coffey, Ron (Joann) Coffey, and Ryan (Stacy) Coffey; grandchildren Bethany (Corey) Wise, Ronnie (Amy Vogelgesang) Coffey, Megan Coffey, Matthew Henry "Jerry" Coffey, Macy Coffey, and Avry Coffey; great granddaughter Kayleigh Ann Coffey, and special niece Debra Berry.

Services for Robert will be held on Thursday (November 10th 2016) at 11 a.m. in Oak Park Church (1920 Chester Blvd) Friends may call on Wednesday (November 9th 2016) from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., and Thursday (November 10th 2016) from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
