William “Bill” Trotter of Poteau, Oklahoma was born December 10, 1954 in DeKalb, Illinois to Alfred and Dovie (Staton) Trotter and passed away July 7, 2019 at the age of 64.
Bill is survived by his wife Pat Trotter of the home, five sons; Willie Trotter of Poteau, Oklahoma, Kyle Trotter of Poteau, Oklahoma, Lucas Trotter of Shady Point, Oklahoma, Patrick Trotter of Shady Point, Oklahoma and Kevin Reed and wife Alicia of Homestead, Florida; a daughter Christy Reed of Poteau, Oklahoma; a brother, Bob Trotter; four sisters, Isabell Creech, Iola Winters, Carol Dickson and Helen Merritt; grandchildren Karli and Luke Chesner, Cassie Beger, Allie Ramsey, Maddie Ramsey, Steven Reed, Brooklynn Reed, Quentin Reed, Ryan Lloyd, Alston Lloyd, Lauryn Trotter, Rilyn Trotter, Aubree Odle, Allie Odle, Ruby Trotter; great grandkid - Raylee Chesner; and and numerous other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Alford Trotter.
Throughout the many years that Bill assisted his wife, Pat, with daycare, he gained many little buddies that he considered family.
He was more than Mr. Bill. To some he was Papa Bill. He loved spoiling his dogs and teasing his grandkids. He enjoyed spending his spare time at his and his wife's lake house on Eufaula and watching his Texas Rangers play baseball.
Service will be at 2:00 P.M Thursday at Grace Memorial Chapel in Poteau, OK.

Services are under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be Wednesday from 12-8:00 P.M. The family will greet friends Wednesday from 6-8 P.M at the funeral home.
