Margaret “Pinkie” Warner

Montana lost a gem this week, with the passing of Margaret “Pinkie” Warner on Sunday, May 26, 2019, with her son Randy and daughter Karlee at her side as she passed peacefully into the arms of Our Father at the age of 76.

Throughout her life, Pinkie was a loving mother, an enduring friend and an entrepreneur, who ran businesses ranging from selling her delicious, aromatic pies to operating a cinema. She was known for her generosity and kind heart, offering help and support to many in need. Her smile and sense of humor brought warmth and love every day to those close to her and to her many friends, employees and customers.

For more than two decades, Pinkie operated the Empire Twin movie theatre in downtown Livingston, Montana, surrounded by friends and co-workers, bringing the magic of movies to a town known for its passion for Hollywood and film. Pinkie took great pride in the quality presentation and operation of the cinema, enjoying both the camaraderie of the employees and friends who help make the Empire Twin a special place for Park County residents and the many visitors to the Yellowstone region.

Prior to her time in Livingston, Pinkie raised her children in Opportunity, Montana. She grew up in the Butchertown community and on Montana Street in Butte, Montana, where she graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School and Butte High School. Throughout her childhood years, Pinkie worked at movie theaters in Butte, and was the second youngest of eight children of her mother Ruth Warner and her father Clinton Warner.

Pinkie is survived by her son, Randy (Christine) Warner and her daughter, Karlee (Randy) Fleming; three grandchildren; Pinkie's brothers, Jack (Pat), Roy and Timothy (Wendy) and many nieces and nephews will miss Pinkie greatly and will continue to celebrate her life and the special role she played in their lives, as Pinkie joins her sisters, Marleen and Donna, brothers, Donald and Clinton Jr., and grandchildren, Taylor Fleming and MacKenzie Fleming in heaven.

The family of Pinkie Warner is grateful to the employees and residents of Caslen Living Center for their loving support and friendship. As well, the physicians, nurses and staff of Livingston Healthcare (Billings Clinic) are sincerely appreciated for their professionalism, quality of care and compassion by the family of Pinkie Warner, as are the many generous donors who helped create such a special and excellent facility in Park County.

In celebration of Pinkie we will be hosting a memorial service at Franzen-Davis Funeral home on Monday, July 1st, at 2:00 P.M.; we will also have a celebration of life gathering at the Empire Theater on Tuesday, July 2nd, from 2:00-5:00P.M.; a memorial Mass at the Duggan Dolan Mortuary, 1805 Meadowlark Lane; Butte, Montana 59701, will begin at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, July 8th with inurnment to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Butte.
