Gone yet not forgotten, although we are apart, your spirit lives within us, forever in our hearts… Arlene Freeman, 82, of LeRaysville, Pa. passed away on Saturday evening, July 6, 2019 at the Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center. Arlene was born on March 25, 1937 in Plymouth, Pa. one of eleven children to the late John Henry and Ethel Mae (Zimmerman) Wolfe.

On August 20, 1955 she married Jerry R. Freeman and together they shared 56 years together before his passing on September 9, 2011.

Arlene enjoyed camping, taking nature walks, trips to the lake, spending time fishing and living a happy and healthy life.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter and son-in-law: Donna and William McCurdy; her grandchildren: Melinda (Robert) Gilmore, Daniel Brown, Andrew Mitchell, Matthew Mitchell, Phillip Mitchell, Cara Mitchell; several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews among them: Shirley (John) Hunt, Janet Carr, Dale Freeman, Kim Birdsall, Barbara Cuneo and their families also survive.

Arlene was predeceased by her husband Jerry; her parents John and Ethel Wolfe; her daughter Nancy Spooner and siblings: Henrietta Wolfe, Margaret Wolfe, Kathrine Chesna, Wilbur Wolfe, John Henry Wolfe, Doris Warman, Geraldine Davidson, Sarah Freeman, Barbara Stupak and Sandy Smith; and great-grandchildren Conner Gilmore, Brayden Brown, Khloe Brown and Mason Brown.

Family and friends are invited to attend a period of visitation and time of sharing memories on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Sutfin Funeral Chapel, 273 S. Main St., Nichols, NY.
