Jerry Nolan Dawson was born May 25, 1938, in Canton, TX, to parents, Blanks Jefferson Dawson and Lottie Pittmon Dawson. He was raised in Canton and graduated from Wills Point High School. Jerry married Sue Ellen Lindsey on March 20, 1965. He worked at the aluminum manufacturing plant in Terrell for many years before retiring in 2000. Jerry was a life-long resident of Wills Point and attended Russell Memorial United Methodist Church. He loved to fish at Fin & Feather and enjoyed gardening and sharing his vegetables with friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Blanks and Lottie Dawson; brothers, Ben Dawson, Harold Dawson and Ronald Dawson; sister, Sally Hilliard.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Sue Ellen Dawson of Wills Point; brothers, Perry Max Dawson and wife Ruth of Florida, Charles Dawson of Richardson and Allen Dawson and wife Sandra of Canton; brothers-in-law, Mike Lindsey of Fruitvale and Olen Lindsey and wife Michele of Wills Point; along with numerous nieces and nephews and beloved fur-baby, Tater.
