Ryan Bender, 39, of Mechanicsburg, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017 after years of struggling with medical problems. Born November 19, 1977 in Richmond, VA, he was the son of Darrel Bender of New Cumberland and Frances "Beth" (Lilley) Bender of Mechanicsburg.
Ryan graduated from Cumberland Valley High School and worked as a server at Carrabba's.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Abbie; and his sister Heidi of New York City.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 19 at Silver Spring Presbyterian Church, 444 Silver Spring Road, Mechanicsburg where there will be a viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
