She was born in Bellefontaine April 3, 1947, to the late Charles E. and Rosalia Jane (Aler) Swisher. Her beloved dog Jill also preceded Patty in death.
On March 8, 1969, in Zanesfield, Ohio she married Ronald D. Stewart and he survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Angela (Jason) Smith of Bellefontaine; a son, J.R. (Bryn) Stewart of Bellefontaine; grandchildren, Lacy and Will Smith, and Paxton and Crosley Stewart; brothers, Ray (Kris) Swisher and Ed (Karen) Swisher, both of Bellefontaine; nephews, Zach (Amy) Swisher, Brian (Sarah) Swisher, Joel Swisher and numerous cousins.
Patty was a 1965 graduate of Bellefontaine High School and then graduated from Springfield Community Nursing College as a Registered Nurse, retiring in 2010. She was a former member of the Zanesfield United Methodist Church. Patty was known as the caretaker of her family, you could count on her for anything. Patty enjoyed crocheting and most importantly being with her grandchildren and children.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2019 from 4 to 6 P.M. at the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
Pastor Bryan Meadows will officiate the funeral service at 12 noon Thursday, July 11, 2019 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the funeral service at the Highland Memorial Cemetery in West Liberty, Ohio.
The arrangements are in the care of the staff of the Eichholtz Daring & Sanford Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Bellefontaine.
