Diane worked at FASCO for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and took great pride in her great-grandson, Braxton. Diane was an active and faithful member of Crossroads Baptist Church near Ulman.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Cooper Jr. and wife Tammy and William Douglas Cooper both of Brumley; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Cooper (Cameron Hendricks) and Dillon Cooper (Kailyn Clark); great-grandson, Braxton Cooper; sister, Faye Tucker of Mexico; two brothers-in-law, James Shelton and Walker Cooper; aunt, Loetta Herrell of Iberia; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Denise Cooper, sister, Kathryn “Kathy” Shelton, and one brother, David Cannella.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, July 10, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Ralph Byrd officiating. Interment will be held in Madden Cemetery near Iberia.
