Charles Edwin Parsons, 67, of LeRoy, WV, passed away suddenly July 7, 2019.

He was born March 12, 1952, in Ripley, WV, the son of the late Edwin Otmer and Corrine (Miller) Parsons. In addition to his parents, his companion, Deborah Thornton, also preceded him in death.

Charles was a 1970 graduate of Ripley High School and was a retired school bus operator from the Jackson County Board of Education. He was the last owner and operator of the family businesses: Parsons General Store, Parsons Angus Farm and Parsons Motor Sales, which held the Studebaker franchise for the area and was the oldest automobile dealership in Jackson County.

He survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members.

There will be no public services. Private interment will be in the Baptist Grove Cemetery, Frozen Camp. Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV is providing arrangements.
