Funeral services for Mr. Douglas “Mack” Adams will be held on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Robert Barham Family Funeral Home with Reverend Sephus Garrett and Brother Keith Carpenter officiating. Burial will be held at Meridian Memorial Park. Robert Barham Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Mr. Adams, age 76, of Meridian passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at his residence.
Mr. Adams served his country for thirty-eight years in the United States Army National Guard. For a combined total of fifty-four years, he worked for Harrison Electric Supply, Robinson Electric Supply, and Xtra Light Lighting. Mr. Adams will be remembered as a jack-of-all trades who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
He is survived by his daughter, Carol Adams Richardson (Keith); two granddaughters, Shelby Smith (Nathan) and Charley Mowdy (Austin Skipper); brother, Kenneth Adams (Janet); two step-daughters, Judy Womack and Lisa Holloway; numerous nieces and nephews; and his friend, Rena Shaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Hugh and Viva Ethel Grace Adams; one brother, Charles Donald Adams; and his sister, Minnie Florence Patton.
Pallbearers will be David Bailey, Dave Bailey, Lee Rogers, Henry Yeager, Ricky Price, Jake Strickland, Danny Luke, and Joe Roberts. Honorary pallbearers will be his fellow servicemen.
