Dorothy Shaffer passed away peacefully at the age of 104 years in the Masonic Home at Union City, where she had resided for several years. She and her husband, John Henry Shaffer, had spent many years living in the City of Yucaipa in Southern California, where they were active supporters of Green Valley Assembly #220 of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, a Masonic youth organization for teenage girls. Mrs. Shaffer also served that organization on the state level as Secretary of the Grand Executive Committee and as both a Grand Deputy and Area Grand Deputy. She was well loved by the girls she mentored and is fondly remembered by them.
Mrs. Shaffer was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law.
