PHILLIP MICHAEL (MIKE) WHITE, 69, passed away July 3, 2019 peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Mike was born in Flint, in 1950, and attended Lapeer High School. Mike worked 30 years at General Motors, where he retired in 1999 alongside his long-time and still best ‘hillbilly’ friend Vern Collett. Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life, as well as an all-around handyman and great provider for his family. After retirement, he enjoyed riding his Harley with friends and family and made a few memorable motorcycle trips. He was always content at home taking care of his 20 acres, the pond, and watching the wildlife. In April, he celebrated 50 years of marriage to his wife Ann, and enjoyed the celebration.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; daughters, Dawn (Dave) Smith, Sally Feagan and Laura (Dan) Walters; five grandchildren, Sarah Feagan, Brandon Feagan, Dustin Balch, Nick Balch and Nathan Smith; as well as near and dear special friends, Brian Feagan and Skylar Elliott.

He is preceded in death by his close ‘brotherly’ cousins, Bill and John Gudzikowski; and his parents, Fran White and Phyllis Wnuk.

Services will be held at Lynch & Son Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel at 542 Liberty Street in Lapeer on Sunday, July 7th. Immediate family hour will be at 10 a.m., all other family and friends at 11 a.m., with the service immediately following at 12 Noon. A celebration of life luncheon will immediately follow the service at the Imlay City Eagles, 170 S Almont Ave, Imlay City, MI 48444. He will then be laid to rest at the Lum Cemetery the following day, Monday, July 8th at 11 a.m., and family and friends are invited to attend.
