Born Feb. 6, 1926, in Phillipsburg, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Ferretti and Rose Cortezzo Ferretti. She was predeceased by her husband, the late Bernard L. Kelly Jr., who passed in 2002.
Rita was employed at the Mohican Market in Easton and worked in their bakery. She was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1943. Rita was a kind, loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, who would do anything for anyone. She will be dearly and forever missed.
Surviving are her sons, Bernard L. Kelly III and wife, Deborah of Harmony Township, NJ, and Michael Kelly and wife, Ann of Palmer Township, PA. Rita is also survived by grandchildren, Bernard J. Kelly, Kristin Duaime, and Jeremy Kelly, as well as seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Concetta Kirkland, Clara Reich, Jean DeAlmo, Anita Sciabarassi, Grace Bogusky, and Gloria Andrews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Finegan Funeral Home, 924 2nd Ave., Alpha, NJ. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 10 a.m. The interment will be at St. Peter & St. Paul Cemetery in Alpha.
