Elizabeth “Betty” Hotter, age 84, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Tuesday October 16, 2018 at Wellington Meadows in Fort Atkinson.

She was born on February 18, 1934 in London, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Emery and Clara (Ryczk) Davis.

Betty grew up in a close, and hardworking family on a dairy farm between Red Cedar lake and Lake Ripley.She attended the Cambridge public school system where she had numerous close friends and enjoyed being in the school band. She married Donald J Hotter on September 27, 1952, he preceded her in death on September 30, 2012. During the Korean War she moved to Ft. Riley, Kansas, where her husband Don was stationed.

Together they made many life-long “service” friends. Don and Betty built their home of almost forty years on the back of the Davis family farm, overlooking Lake Ripley.

She worked for many years as a traveling CNA for the Jefferson County Nursing Department. Betty was always a Lake Ripley, Cambridge girl at heart. She retired to her favorite place in the north woods on Dads Lake, by Eagle River.

She loved her family, including dogs, the outdoors and music. She is survived by her daughters Sherry (Jeff) Bergstrom-Hotter of St. Croix Virgin Islands, Patricia Hotter of PA, son Donald (Judy) Hotter III of Forsyth, MT. Five grandchildren, Jessica Hotter, Alyssa Hotter, Casey Bergstrom, Jessie Hotter, Ricky (Ashley) Hotter. Four great grandchildren, Jacey Hotter, Rosalie Rayne Hotter, Corbin John Hotter, Lachen Sky Hotter. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald Hotter, son Michael Hotter, brother Vernon Davis.

Memorial service were held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday November 24, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Coyle presiding. Burial was in the Parish cemetery.
