Mrs. Jane Leiby, beloved wife of Mr. Elias B. Leiby, died at her home in Marysville on Saturday. She had not been in good health for some time. She was 63 years of age.
The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Smith, of Middle Ridge. She is survived by her husdand and one son, Scott Smith Leiby, Esq., a member of the Perry and Dauphin county bars; also by two sisters, Mrs. James B. Leiby and Mrs. John S. Roper, of Newport, and one brother, Willis L. Smith, of Philadelphia, Pa.
Mrs. Leiby was a kind, devoted wife and mother and a life long member of the Reformed Church. She was a lady of find character and amiable disposition and consecrated her life to her family and church. Her death is an irreparable loss to her husband and son, to whom we extend our sincere sympathy, and is also sadly mourned by a wide circle of friends.
The funeral serivce was held yesterday afternoon, the services being conducted by the Rev. S.L. Flickinger, after which the ramains were taken to Newport for burial.
