Angela Jane Turner, 46, of Petal, passed away peacefullyon July 5, 2019 in Hattiesburg, MS, after a short illness. She was surrounded at bedside by her friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-9:00 PM on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at Jones and Son Funeral Home in Richton, MS. Funeral services will be held at the same location at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 8, 2019. Burial will follow in the Sunset Cemetery in Richton.

Angela was born in Hattiesburg, MS to Willie and Vivian Odom on March 6, 1973. A graduate of Richton Hight School, she weny on to receive her bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She married Lewis “Eddie” Turner III on January 19, 2007. An employee of Regions Bank, Angela worked for over 20 years in Hattiesburg, MS as a loan originator. Angela brought joy to everyone and especially loved to share photos and videos of her newest grandchild, Graeson.

Angela was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Willie and Margie Odom and maternal grandparents, Tillis and Lorena Broome. Survivors include her husband, Lewis “Eddie” Turner III; daughters, Laekyn Odom, and Jaedyn Turner; step-son, Thomas Turner; step-daughter, Kristi Plunkett (Hal); brother, Tim Odom (Jennie); parents, Willie and Vivian Odom; grandchildren, Wyatt Turner and Graeson Runnels; niece, Kelsey Mathis (Matt); and nephew, Austin Odom.

Pallbearers will be Richard “Rip” Kittrell, Matt Mathis, Gary Morris, Hal Plunkett, Kevin Porche and Bill Williams.

The family of Angela wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all those who have helped to support the family through this short but difficult journey. A special thanks to the staff of Forrest General Hospital for demonstrating care and compassion thoughout the process.
