William C. "Bill" Ratliff, 76, passed away in his sleep at his home on Sunday, June 30, 2019. Interment will be at DFW National Cemetery.

Bill was born September 9, 1942, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Hollis and June (Marshall) (Ratliff) Richards. At a young age, Bill and his mother moved to Fort Worth, Texas. He attended Fort Worth Trimble Tech HighSchool. After leaving school in 1959 he joined the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged IN 1966. While enlisted he married the former Margie Fortner in 1965. Their marriage resulted in three sons; William (Clay) Ratliff, Brian Ratliff, and Brad Ratliff.

Bill was a retired Manufacturing Production Manager. He enjoyed working and only retired a few years prior to his passing. He loved following and coaching baseball, watching Fox News, cooking “salt pork” on Sunday morning, drinking one cup of coffee every day, reading, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a great storyteller and possessed a wonderful sense of humor. Bill will be remembered as a loving son, father, grandfather, and friend.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law Euder Fortner; and childhood best friend John Lambert.

He is survived by his three sons, William (Clay) Ratliff and his wife Sharon, Brian Ratliff, Brad Ratliff and his wife Brandi; granddaughter Layla Ratliff, grandsons Austin Ratliff, Conner Ratliff, Roo Ratliff, Robert Eubanks and wife Shawnnon, great-grandson Samuel Eubanks, ex-wife Margie Ratliff, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.
