Actor. Best known for the leading role of Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vil, in the hit Disney franchise “The Descendants.” Born in Los Angeles, California to a white Jewish mother and a father who is African/American and African/Caribbean, his grandmother was one of the Clinton 12, the first black students to attend school in Clinton, Tennessee after the desegregation of public schools in the South. In a video interview on Raw Word Play, when asked to describe himself he said, "I like to say that I'm bl-ewish, I'm black and I'm Jewish. So you know, me and Drake, we got that in common." His first acting role was at the age of 8, playing a young Ryan Ross in the 2008 Panic! At the Disco’s music video, “That Green Gentlemen.” The same year he made his film debut on the big screen in the horror movie “Mirrors” which starred Keifer Sutherland. He followed that by appearing as Michael “Stone” Cates, Jr. in seven episodes of the television soap opera “General Hospital: Night Shift.” He also appeared in the feature films “Eagle Eye” with Shia LaBeouf and “Grown Ups” with Adam Sandler, but was best known for the various series he played in on the Disney Channel. He had guest roles on “Good Luck Charlie,” “Shake It Up,” “Austin & Alley,” and “Liv and Maddie” before being cast as Luke Ross in “Jessie.” He was the voice of Jake on the Disney television cartoon “Jake and the Never Land Pirates,” but is best known for playing Cruella de Vil’s son Carlos in the Disney television movies “Descendants” and “Descendants 2,” as well as the television series “Descendants: Wicked World.” Filming was completed on “Descendants 3,” when he passed away in his sleep after an epileptic seizure.
