He was born in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Fort Pierce in 1970 coming from California.
Bobby played football at Fort Pierce Central High School as an All State and All Area Player. He then played for Gardner Webb College in Shelby, NC as an All American Player. After graduating college, he played Pro Football for the USFL. Bobby became a stucco contractor with R & B Plastering and Stucco. Bobby won 13 World Arm Wrestling titles and 27 National titles; he was considered one of the worlds natural strongest men to ever live. He was an ordained pastor most of his life; Preaching for 41 years. He was a public servant for St Lucie County and loved his community and his family.

Pierce, FL; sons Bobby Hopkins Jr; Amos (Marene) Hopkins; Christopher Hopkins all of Ft. Pierce, FL; sons, Wesley Ware of Tuscaloosa, AL; Hugo Sanchez of Apollo Beach, FL; Rocky (Sarah) Ray of Ft. Pierce, FL; daughters, Alexandra Cowgill and Taylor Cowgill both of Ft. Pierce, FL; brother, Rodney Hopkins of Ft. Pierce, FL; sister, Kimberly (Justin) Willis, of Ft. Pierce, FL; grandchildren Justin, Jordan, Hailey, Bobby III, Logan, Kaylee, Brendon, Bailee, Natalie, Titan, Aubriana, Briella, Kash, and Noah; great-grandchildren, Kylee and Baby Justin.

Services: A Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 11th from 11-1 PM at Westside Church with the Funeral Service beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
