MO death certificate #36934: Online death certificate states she was born in Feb. 1873; tombstone reads March 1873.

Her full name was Mary Louisa Ogle Watson.

Mary Louisa Ogles, daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Wash Ogles, was born in Texas county in 1873 and died at the family home near Prescott, December 29, 1924. Her age at time of death was 51 years, 10 months and 10 days.

She was married in the year 1888 to Ed Watson, of this place, and to this union eleven children were born. They are Willie and Jesse Watson, who live at the home place; Echles Watson, of Prescott; Mrs. Everett Blankenship, of Des Moines, Iowa; Hesket Watson, of St. Louis, Mo.; Miss Agnes Watson, of Houston; and the two youngest children, Muriel and Herbert, who are at home with the father. Two baby girls and one son preceded the mother in death.

Besides her children and broken-hearted companion, she leaves one sister, Mrs. James Pursifull, and one brother, Paten Ogles, of Iowa; also one half-brother, Moses Maples, of Joplin, Mo., and five grandchildren.

All the children and her sister were present during her sickness and death, and the large crowd that followed her body to its final resting place attested the high esteem in which this good woman was held by her neighbors and friends. Mrs. Watson was converted in 1892 and joined the Arthurs Creek Baptist church and she lived a devoted, consistent christian to the time of her death. Funeral services were conducted at Prescott Union church by Rev. W. S. Baker. A beautiful feature of the service was that of her five sons and one nephew acting as pallbearers and in that act performing the last service human hands could ever do for their beloved mother.

She is dead -- neighbor, friend, wife, mother -- and her going needs no comment. She has lived her life among us and her beautiful ministry here on earth will live on. She was an ideal mother and her home, her family and her devotion to Christ were her guiding stars through life. May her fine, stalwart sons and sweet, womanly daughters emulate her example and carry on through life triumphant in the faith of meeting the Christ when time shall end and with the mother form an unbroken family again when they have "crost the bar."

She will be sadly missed by her neighbors and friends, but we know that our loss is Heaven's gain. -- JUST A FRIEND
