Neva Lane Jones Hill, age 80 of the Greenhaw community, passed from this life on the morning of July 5, 2019.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Arnold Jones and her father, Rev. Harry Lee Jones; step-mother, Edith Jones; sisters, Sylvia Hand, Janice Watson and Hariett Henley.  She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her husband of 62 years, Elroy Hill; daughters, Debbie (Russ) Godsave of Clarksville, TN, Sherrie McBee of Sewanee and Joy (Jerry) Smith of Winchester; son, Timothy Hill of Decherd; brothers, Larry Jones of Dalton, GA. and Kenneth (Barbara) Jones of Decherd; grandchildren, Keith Godsave, Ben Godsave, Daniel Godsave, Loren Farris, Jeremy Smith, Joshua Smith and Jonathan McBee; 4 great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Hill was a long-time and devoted Christian. She was a member of Warren’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene where she taught Sunday School and enjoyed singing.  In her earlier years she sang in the family quartet.  She worked at Decherd-Franklin until the plant closed then enrolled in school and trained to be a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Following nursing school she practiced at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System until her retirement.  In her spare time she enjoyed reading and will be remembered by her family as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and an awesome cook.  Mrs. Hill’s family will receive friends at Watson-North Funeral Home Tuesday July 9, 2019 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m.  The funeral service will be conducted from the chapel of Watson-North Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Wednesday July 10, 2019 with Rev. Keith Godsave and Rev. Mike Tyree officiating.  Interment will follow at Mt.
