Father: John Ludlum 1796-1880 Brunswick, NC

Mother: Delilah Ludlum 1792 SC - 1855 Brunswick, NC

Grandfather: Isaac Ludlum 1773 SC - 27 Dec 1802 NC

Great Grandfather: Jeremaih Ludlum 1739 - 1772 NC

Benjamin F. Ludlum was a POW at Point Lookout, Md, where he died. The graves of the POWs that died there have been moved 3 times, due to the rising waters. The first 2 times they were given respect and placed in individual graves. The third time, a mass grave was dug out for them. The bones were thrown together. Skulls thrown as if they were basketballs. The final disgrace, their flag was taken from them. Any other POW that died in our land is allowed to have the flag they fought under, be allowed to fly over their remains. NOT soldiers from the Confederacy. Everyone has to be so politically correct not to offend anyone, but is our ancestors given any respect?
