Olla Spohn, 96, Walton, died Saturday, May 3, 1980, at the Emily B. Flinn Home, Marion.

Olla was born in Cass County July 31, 1883, the daughter of Thomas and Adelia Shields Cree. She married Dr. Edward Arthur Sophn Dec. 24, 1904, in Cass County and he died in 1964.

A member of the Walton Christian Church, the Ladies Aid and the Walton Extension Homemakers Club, she served several years on the Cass County welfare board.

Surviving are four daughters, Florence Fouts, Crawfordsville, Thelma Jackson and Edna Smith, both of Logansport, and Marie Druck, Muncie; one brother, Ora Cree of Galveston; five grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. One son, one daughter, one sister and five brothers are deceased.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home, Logansport, with Dr. Sam young and the Rev. Ken Marsh officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Walton. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Emily E. Flinn Home, Marion.
