Joan E. Freeman, 89, went home to Jesus on July 5.
Joan was born June 9, 1930, in Feltham, London, England, to Doris (Lee) Woods and Fredrick Woods. She met the love of her life, Dexter Freeman, while he was stationed in England and they were married Nov. 4, 1950. Joan became a naturalized citizen of the United States on Jan. 9, 1967.
Joan’s family was her world and she enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of the British Isles Club and enjoyed spending time with the ladies from her native home. She was an animal lover and took great pleasure in watching birds from her patio and bedroom windows.
Joan is survived by her children, Michael (Pam) Freeman of Cheyenne, daughter, Jo (Calvin) Hobbs of Cheyenne and son, David Freeman of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Nathan (Haley) Freeman, Alyx Reed and Wynn Hobbs, all of Cheyenne; great-grandchildren, Bradyn, Izaac, Kiefyr and Hayzel of Cheyenne; and several step-grandchildren.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter; and her parents.
