Gwendolyn Earline Garthier Williams

Gwendolyn Earline Garthier Williams was born in Port Arthur, Texas on December 31 1933 to Evelyn and Albert Garthier.

Shortly after her birth her Father passed and she, her Mother and the entire Victor Family moved to Houston, Texas. Gwen later relocated to San Antonio, Texas with her Grandmother and attended St. Peter Claver Catholic School.

After returning to Houston, Gwen graduated from Phyllis Wheatley High School in Fifth Ward. In the late 1950's she moved to Denver, Colorado. While in Denver, Gwen became a Licensed Practical/Pediatric Nurse for many years at the Denver General Hospital.

Gwen later met and married Air Force Sargent Carlton Williams. No children were born to this union.

Preceding her in death was her Father, Albert Garthier; her Mother Eveyln Woods; Grandmother, Laura Victor; and a Brother, Byron Hosea Woods who passed shortly after birth.

Left in God's care to cherish her memories are her siblings; Albert Ewell Woods, Francesca Renee Williams and Bylincia DeVonna Woods. Gwen is also survived by two Nieces, three Nephews with their beloved children.

Gwendolyn Earline Garthier Williams left a profound impact in the life os her siblings and family as a trailblazer and mentor being an example of how to live well.

She fulfilled her role as "First Born", Gone but not forgotten.
