RM3 on PT-251 during WW2, lost at sea near Bougainville, Solomon Islands on 27 February 1944 when the PT boat came under fire from a Japanese shore battery, a finding of death was made on 27 february 1945. He is listed on the Tablets of the Missing at Manila American Cemetery, Manila, Philippines.

He is also memorialized with a cenotaph at Bethel Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Shady Grove, Metcalfe County, KY.
