She was born on Tuesday, November 14, 1921 and departed this life Thursday, June 27, 2019; she was 97 years old. She was the daughter of the late Wiley and Mattie Daniely. She was born and educated in Roberta, Georgia. She was the third oldest of four children. Her three siblings preceded her in death: Oscar Clifford "O.C.", Ophelia, ​and Willie Lee Daniely. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She and the late Burnes Cornelius Brown were joined in Holy Matrimony on October 6, 1940. Just a few years into their marriage, World War II broke out and Burnes left home to serve in the United States Army. She was resourceful, selling insurance to help take care of matters on the home front. She was a sought-after seamstress and was known for her stylish attire and an affinity for fancy hats. She and Burnes were married for 39 years and proudly raised three sons; Bernard Cornelius Brown (Patricia) of Stafford; VA, the late Kenneth Adolph Brown (Tethel) of Savannah, GA and Ronnie Arvin Brown, Macon, GA. She was a lifetime resident of the Pleasant Hill Community and a faithful member of Greater Turner Tabernacle AME Church for several decades. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren: Reverend Ronald Brown (Paulette) of Augusta, GA, Tammie Delton (Nicolas) Stone Mountain, GA, Brennan Brown of Las Vegas,​Derwin Brown of Pasadena CA, Burnes Brown (Whitney) of Pearl Harbor, HI, Vian Daniely Morales (Victor) of Savannah, GA, and Ursula Hodges (Mario) of Hampton, VA. Her legacy also includes 14 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
