Marvin E. Perry Sr., age 69, of Decatur passed away on Friday June 28, 2019 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Marvin was born in April of 1950 in Brownsville Tennessee to Walter Perry Jr. and Gebratha Bond.

Services for Marvin Perry will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday July 9, 2019 at Grace Baptist Church (3770 North Water Decatur, IL. 62526). Visitation will be one hour before at the church. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of the arrangements

Marvin married Patricia Taylor in February of 1968. He worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company as a welder for many years before retiring. He was a passionate member of the CB radio club.

Marvin is survived by his wife, Patricia; two sons Marvin E. Perry Jr. and Eric D. Perry of Decatur; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters Linda Bond, Lebertha (Sam) Johnson, and May Killin (James) of Decatur; and several aunts and uncles.

Marvin was preceded by his parents, grandson Marvin Perry III; and several aunts and uncles.
