BILLY R. PASSMORE
December 28, 1952 ~ July 4, 2019

Billy R. Passmore, 66, of Eagletown, passed from this life on July 4, 2019 in Texarkana, TX.

Billy was born December 28, 1952 in Broken Bow, at the Old Passmore Place, to Billy Joe and Ollie Oleta (Perrin) Passmore.

Billy had lived in the McCurtain County area all his life. He worked at Passmore Grocery as a butcher from 1971 – 1996, where he was fortunate to be able to work with his sons and teach Jason how to cut meat, and at Pruett's Grocery Store from 1996 – 2000.

Billy also was a poultry grower from 1999 – 2018. Billy could always be found at Lori's Corner Store in the mornings telling stories with his friends, giving people a hard time, and drinking coffee.

Billy was known as an opinionated person and you always knew how he felt about a subject. Billy was very intelligent and was always researching and learning about new things.

He was an avid gun collector, which included a Ruger collection. Billy enjoyed riding four-wheelers, hunting, fishing, camping, and being outdoors.

Billy married the love of his life Karen Davis June 27, 1977 in Clarksville, TX. They enjoyed travelling together and made many trips to Colorado.

Billy was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Passmore; mother, Ollie Oleta Passmore Cunningham; daughter, Jennifer Passmore Martin; grand-daughter, Lexie Martin; stepfather, Frank Cunningham; and sister, Betty Jo Walker.

Billy is survived by his loving wife, Karen Passmore, of the home; sons, David Passmore and Jackie, of Tyler, TX, and Jason Passmore and Jennifer, of Mauriceville, TX; daughter-in-law, Darlene Passmore, of Vidor, TX;

Grandchildren, Caleb, Kyle, Lexie, Dawson, Destiny, Molli, and Trevor; brothers, Terry Passmore, and wife, Wilma, of Broken Bow, Danny Cunningham, and wife, Karen, of Horatio, AR, and Bub Cunningham, and wife, Jolene, of Wright City;

Sister, Diane Mussett, of Wright City; a host of nieces and nephew; many cousins; special friends, Charles Frank Smith, J.O. Hopson, Jan McFarland, Derill Laster, Don Wagnon, Jerry Snider, Jerry Chapman, and Bruce Hopson, all of Eagletown, Terry Brock, of Edmond, Dusty Westbrook, of Holly Creek, Lori Stafford, and her crew at the store, and many, many other friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, July 7, 2019 at 2:00PM at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel, Broken Bow, with Pastor Randy Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Broken Bow Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00PM at the Brumley Funeral Home Chapel.

*I met Mr. Passmore several times on his trips to texas to visit Jason. He was generally a quiet man while I was around but I could tell that he had a commanding presence. If Jason is any indication of the type of man Mr. Passmore was, then I know that he was a great man. My prayers are most definitely with the Passmore family as well as the extended families of Mr. Passmore.

Billy R. Passmore, 66, of Eagletown, passed from this life on July 4, 2019 in Texarkana, TX.
