Margaret Lucille (Greene) Grant was born on May 4, 1930 in Montgomery County, Tennessee, the daughter of Clarence Randolph Greene (1903–1955) and Dimple Doris (Sims) Greene (1907–1992).
She was married about 1949 to Lewis Benjamin Grant Jr (1923–2015), the son of Lewis Benjamin Grant Sr (1897–1975) and Ruby Vern (Scruggs) Grant (1900–1989).
Margaret was retired from F W Woolworth Company as a bookkeeper and cashier, and she was a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church where she served as church treasurer and greeter for several years.
She was 89 years old and a widow when she passed away on July 2, 2019.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughter Marian Kaye Grant, brothers Dossie Greene, Anderson Greene and Eskew Greene, her sister Bonita (Greene) Belcher and by her great-granddaughter Taylor Grant Stein. Survivors included a married son, married daughter, a brother, five sisters, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two step-granddaughters, a step-2nd-great-granddaughter and an adopted Ellenwood daughter.
Funeral Services were held at Sykes Funeral Home, and burial was in Chapel Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery in Southside.
