EDWARD J. FARNUM was born in Uxbridge, Worcester county, Mass., in 1809. He came to Wellsville in 1847, from Bath, Steuben county, and has since resided there, engaged in lumbering, milling and farming. He was member of the constitutional convention of 1867 and 1868. He was married in 1828 to LUCY E. GOFF, at Pittsford, Monroe county. Mrs. Farnum died October 12th, 1876.
