Obituary for Terry Lane Cooper
Terry Lane Cooper passed away peacefully on July 4th 2019 at the age of 73. Terry was born in Tulsa Oklahoma on January 11th 1946 to Bert and Ruby Cooper and was the second of three children born to the couple. He is preceded in death by his parents and older brother, Douglas "Buddy" Cooper. He is survived by his younger brother Randy Cooper of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
After graduating from Webster High School in 1964, Terry married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Patricia Bauer Cooper, on June 25 1965 and their love only grew stronger over the years. He was a loving, caring and dedicated husband and father. Terry is survived by wife Patricia; son, Chris Cooper & wife Stephanie of Austin, Texas; and daughter Lisa Cooper Cox & husband Greg Cox of Tega Cay, South Carolina.
Terry, otherwise known as Poppy, is also survived by his four grandchildren, or as he called them "the sunshine of his life"; Mya, Callie, Cooper, and Alex.
Terry was a smart quick witted man who loved to make people smile, laugh and even get their goat from time to time. He was proud to be an Air Force Veteran and he had a strong love of God, America, and Sooner Football. Terry used his natural creative talents and love of writing to build a career in local advertising and radio production. Even with all of his professional accomplishments his true passions and what he considered to be his greatest accomplishments were his family and the friendships he made throughout his life.
