Franklin Shepherd, 85, of Alexandria, Ky passed away peacefully on July 2, 2019. He was the son of John Mitchell and Altha (nee Melton) Shepherd who preceded him in death. He was a retired teacher from Campbell County Vocational School. He proudly served in the United States Navy and Air Force. He was a 57 year Masonic member and Past Master of Mayo Lodge 198. He was also a member of the Scottish Rites and Eastern Star Lodge. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Shepherd, sisters; Lona Combs, Fannie Strain and Icy Johnson and Brothers; Crant, JM, Albert and Woodrow Shepherd. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Shepherd. Daughters; Donna White, Robin Shepherd-Ryan and Jill Terry. Sons; James and Scott Shepherd and Brian Hiser. Along with 11 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home on Friday, July 5, 2019 from 3pm-7pm. Masonic Service will be held at 6:45pm. Eastern Star Service will be held at 7pm. Service will take place on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Floral Hills Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Shriners Hospital, Burnet Ave, Cincinnati, Oh. Cooper Funeral Home is serving the family.
