Marcella A. Garrett, age 88, of Faribault died on Sunday, June 30, 2019 at New Perspective Senior Living, Faribault.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault with the Reverend Paul Rieger, officiating.
Interment at Meadow Ridge Memorial Park, Faribault.
Visitation will be at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault on Tuesday, July 2, 2019 from 4 to 7 p.m. and also for one hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the church.
Marcella A., the daughter of Herman and Amelia (Behne) Kruckeberg was born on August 9, 1930 in Blooming Prairie. She married Clyde D. Garrett on September 1, 1948, and he preceded her in death on March 30, 2013. She was formerly employed by Control Data; and the Faribault School District for many years as a cook. Marcella loved spending time with her family; raising children; cooking and baking.
She is survived by her four children, James (and Candi) Garrett of Mantorville, Pamela (and Brian) Carlson of Lakeville, Julie Bongers of Northfield and Dan Garrett (and Roxie Bauernfeind) of Farmington; five grandchildren, Chelsy Carlson (and Josh Anderson), Ali (and Brian) Bossmann, Dr. McKinnon Garrett, Kellen Garrett and Payton Garrett; three great grandchildren, Tanner Carlson, Harrison Bossmann and Ruby Bossmann; nieces; nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clyde; one grandson, Andrew Bongers; three sisters; and nine brothers.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at New Perspective Senior Living and Brighton Hospice.
