Born in Allen County, Indiana to Newton Taylor and Leatha Spencer.
Her mother died when she was just 6 months old.
She was taken in and raised by adoptive parents Harry (Harvey) Waggoner and Myrtle Elizabeth Taylor. Myrtle Taylor was her aunt, a younger sister of her father Newton. The Waggoners are also buried in this same cemetery.
On the 1930 census she is listed as Jane M. Waggoner, adopted daughter.
She married Ralph Osborn (05 Mar 1912 - 07 Nov 1980) on 10 Oct 1937 in Clio, Michigan.
They divorced on 15 Dec 1942 in Saginaw County, Michigan.
She had one son Kenneth Gerald Osborn (27 Dec 1938).
Her marriage record name is listed as Nancy Jane Waggoner and gives Harry (Harvey) Waggoner and Myrtle Taylor as her parents names. But when things got technical and she applied for Social Security her true birth name of Taylor appears and her true birth parents' names are given.
