George M. Chapman, age 83, of Joelton, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2019.

He retired from Centex-Rogers as a Special Project Manager and worked on many well known Nashville facilities including Vanderbilt Hospital and the Sarah Cannon Cancer Center. He also served as a Fairground Speedway Official for many years, was a member/officer of the Leader Tractor Club, and enjoyed farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents William Anderson Chapman and Nancy Gooch Chapman; wife Erlene Reeder Chapman; wife Carolyn Chapman; son Stan Reeder; and 6 siblings.

Survivors include his children Cheryl Ann (Doug) Delveau, Terry (Tammy) Chapman, and Renee (Jimmy) Pitts; grandchildren Collin (Alanna) Chapman and Stephen "Cory" (Allie) Chapman; great granddaughter Lily Jane Chapman; sisters Nancy Phillips and Mary Jane Bowen; brother-in-law John Larkin; dedicated friends Clyde, Ashley, and Gracie Parrish; and his pet "Sweetie".

Services will take place at Anderson & Garrett Funeral Home.
Interment follows at Joelton Hills Memory Gardens.
