Chance M. Smith, age 26, of Marshall, Michigan passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 2, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born December 30, 1992 in Marshall, the son of Wayne & Kellie (Griffin) Smith.
Chance attended Marshall High School, KCC and Albion College. His loves were singing, entertaining, and making people laugh. Chance was full of life, always happy and wearing a smile. Anyone who knew him would say he's a joy to be around. Chance was a huge fan of The Ohio State University.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Wayne & Kellie Smith; brothers, Shayne (Cameo Bayes) Smith, Michael CJ McCaulley and the entire McCaulley family. grandparents, Chuck (Judi) Griffin; aunts, Kerrie (Bob) Mansfield, Dorothy (Jim) Smith-Shaum; cousins, Morgan Day, Garrett (Casi) Day, Mick Shaum, Katie (Jim) Richards, Christine (Jake) Bohms, David Shaum, and many many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Morris (Janice) Smith.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Kempf Funeral & Cremation Service, Marshall. A celebration of life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 1:30pm with Reverend Walter Nichols, Jr officiating.
A private family burial will take place at Floral Lawn at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Bronson Critical Care, 300 North Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
