She was President of the State Ladies Fireman's Auxiliary organization and was also State President of the Business and Professional Women's organization. Nettie was an active member of the Alice Louise Reynold's Literary Club. She held various positions in the young women's church organizations. She enjoyed her Bridge Club activity all her life and was an avid traveler visiting six continents.
She is survived by her daughter, Genette (Carl) McCulloch, Vernal, Utah, son, Robert L. (Manuca) Pickett, Rigby, Idaho, daughter-in-law, Marjorie Ann of Colorado Springs, Colorado, 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, and one son, Joseph Brent Pickett.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. George LDS 5th Ward Chapel, 85 South 400 East, St. George, Utah. First visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, at Metcalf Mortuary chapel, 288 W. St. George Blvd., and second visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be at the St. George City Cemetery under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary, (435) 673-4221. Condolences may be sent to the family through our website
