She was of the Baptist faith. She loved working with children and traveling.
Mrs. Lowery was the daughter of the late Arthur Jess Rogers and Irene Elizabeth Coffman Rogers and was also preceded in death by her brothers, Nelson Rogers, A.J. Rogers and Donald Rogers; two sisters, Catherine Geren and Opal Morrison.
She is survived by her husband, Don Lowery of Cleveland; two sisters, Shirley Carter and Jessie Brennan both of Cleveland; one brother, Neal Rogers and wife Debbie Rogers of Georgetown; sister-in-law, Barbara Rogers of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Wayne Morrison of Nashville; special great nephew, Jacob Brennan of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 16, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Earl Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Jeff Carter, Kyle Carter, Bradlee Carter, Tim Rogers, Ryan Carter and Randy Garrett serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
