James “Jim” Frederick Necessary went to be with the Lord on July 1, 2019 in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Jim was born August 05, 1937 in Sparks, Oklahoma the son of Roy C. Necessary and LouEllen “Loy” Necessary. Jim was raised in Meeker where he graduated high school in 1955. Jim met and married Iona Beatrice Standley in Hanford, California in 1956. Jim served in the US Navy. He was a manager for Piccadilly Cafeterias for over 20 years, owned and operated Necessary Hickory Pit in Claremore, OK for 10 years, farmed, ranched and custom hay baled. He was Baptist by faith and attended Utopia Baptist Church for many years. Jim was a member of the Elks Lodge Pryor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, welding and a good game of Texas Hold’em. Jim will be missed by all who knew him.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Jami Necessary, sisters Georgia Newman and Betty Dixon, and one brother Roy C. Necessary Jr.,

Survivors include his wife Iona Beatrice “Bea” Necessary of the home; one son Randy Lee Necessary and wife Rhonda of Pryor, Oklahoma; two daughters Deborah Ann Necessary-Robertson and husband Rory of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Julia “Julie” Smith and husband Stephen of Corpus Christi, Texas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Jean Smith of Davenport, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 03, 2019 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 05, 2019 at the Utopia Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Mathews officiating. Interment will follow with Veterans Honors at Ghormley Cemetery.
