Andrews, Nina Richarde Bishop passed away peacefully on June 24, 2019 at the age of 91. Nina was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Arthur Bishop and Nina Richarde Bishop Prevatt, her siblings, Harold Arthur Bishop Jr. and Mary Harriet (Dot) Bishop Porch, and her husband, Joseph William Andrews III.

Nina is survived by her loving daughter Lynn (John) Andrews Schlumpf and also by her three grandchildren, David (Jim Marrone) Schlumpf, Michael (Jennifer) Schlumpf, Stephen (Leslie) Schlumpf, and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Evan, all of whom will miss their Granina.

Nina earned her undergraduate degree at Wesleyan College in Macon, Georgia and her Masters in Counseling at the University of Florida. After college, she taught at Bradford County High School in Starke, Florida, where she also coached the women’s tennis and basketball teams. She later moved to Decatur, Georgia where she worked as a counselor at Briarcliff High School until the founding of Lakeside High School in 1965. There she assisted students as head counselor until she retired in 1986.

Her passions included playing and watching golf, education, politics, and University of Florida sports. While she took great pride in every educational accolade and scientific discovery made by the school, Nina will be remembered for her keen interest in men’s and women’s athletics. She supported every Gator sports teams for over 75 years and attended all of Florida’s home football games well into her late-80’s. Go Gators!

There will be a graveside service on July 13th at 11:00 am in the Kingsley Lake cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life at her house on Kingsley Lake.
