She was born on February 4, 1964 in Richmond County a daughter of Charlotte Beck and the late Dennis Beck. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Keristen.
Angela spent many years taking care of her family as well as strangers as a registered nurse. She had a habit of spoiling her grandchildren. The beach was her happy place.
She is survived by her Lifetime Love, James DeBerry; her children, Marcus Bates Jr. (Christy) , Alysia Wilson(Jennifer) , Marion Bates(Kenny), Kalon Bates(Missy); grandchildren, Eli, LJ, Kenneth, Taylor, Ariel, Frederick, Marissa, Kortney, Austin; great-grandchild, Sadie; her siblings Melissa Smith, Kim Cline, Tammy Kelsey; and her mother Charlotte Beck.
A celebration of her life was held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 29, 2019 in the Colonial Chapel of Carter Funeral Home in Rockingham.
Entombment was made in Richmond County Memorial Park.
The family received friends from 12:45 – 1:45 pm at Carter Funeral Home prior to the service.
