He was born August 19, 1971 in Hopkins Co., KY to Richard Stokes and the late Emmala Darlene Scott.
Chris loved to fish and go to the lake. He loved spending time with his grandkids and loved his ice cream. He was very friendly and patriotic; he never met a stranger. He was known to call everyone mister.
In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife of 23 years, Susan Stokes; one son, Brandin Stokes of Madisonville; one daughter, Shelby (Trent) Jones of Madisonville; one sister, Stacy Stokes of Madisonville; and two grandchildren, Braylee Jones and Bentley Jones.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home with Pastor Joel Benson officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday and after 12:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brandin Stokes, Trent Jones, Jeremy Bourland, Billy Jones, Burlie Stanley, and Sean "Whistle" Feltner.
