George was a United States Air Force veteran who fought for his country in Vietnam. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Anyone who knew George, knows that he loved his blue roosters. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. George was loved by many and will truly be missed.
He is survived by his wife Belinda, four sons Derek (Jennifer) Branch, Kevin (Sarah) Branch, Tyler (Krisa) Branch, and Darren (Casey) Branch; five grandchildren Dylan, Kaylee, August Charlie, and Zephaniah; two step-sons, Heartie Guaybaguio and John Bleezer Del Cameron; sisters Katherine, Kaye, Nita, Bessie, Marie and a brother David.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Willie Branch, three brothers; Nelson, Wayne, and Kenneth as well as one sister Theresa.
Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, July 3 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. Funeral will be 2:00 PM Friday at Smith-Westbrook Chapel with burial in Cheek Cemetery.
