Doris Jean Hicks, age 87, passed away on July 1st, 2019 in her home in West Carrollton, Ohio.

Doris Jean Hicks, daughter of Nellie and Hilbert Mendenhall, was born on May 18, 1932 in Dayton Ohio. She leaves behind her husband of 67 years, Raymond Hicks, a plethora of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Cindy Jean Hicks Snyder, preceded her in death.

Doris actively attended Emmanuel Baptist Church of Bellbrook, Ohio, and wanted others to not mourn over her death, but rather to celebrate her life and memories. She is remembered for her love of her family, and her pets throughout her life. She had an infectious personality, full of laughter and happiness, that lit up any room she was in. She will be greatly missed by many, especially her high school sweetheart, Raymond.

Family and Friends may gather from 5pm until time of services at 7pm on Wednesday, July 10th at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bellbrook, Ohio. Donations in her memory may be made to Heartland Hospice Care in lieu of flowers
