AMELIA CHAYKOWSKI (nee ZYDYK)

On Monday, February 23, 2004, Amelia Chaykowski, aged 92 years, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, with her family by her side.

Amelia was born October 17, 1911, in Winnipeg, MB. On her birthday in 1931, she married Michael Chaykowski.

She was predeceased by her husband Michael of 51 years on January 14, 1983.

Left to mourn her passing are her two daughters and their spouses, as well as by her three grandchildren.

Prayers will be sung on Sunday, February 29 at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress, 820 Burrows Ave. at 3:00 p.m. The funeral service is also at the cathedral on Monday, March 1 at 9:30 a.m. with Fr. J. Buciora officiating. Interment to follow at All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Amelia's memory to the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Mary the Protectress or a charity of ones choice.
