John Edward Thon, Cornell, died at St. Joseph's Hospital in this city Monday night.
Mr. Thon was born May 25, 1893 in McMillan, Wis., the son of Lous and Ms. Engman Then. He was married to Mabel Schroeder who survives with four sons and seven daughters: John, Robert and Gerald, all of Cornell; Raymond of Milwaukee; Mrs. Horace (Marion) Priest, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Bluma and Mrs. Edwin (Loretta) Haack, Milwaukee; Mrs. Lyman (Agnes) Heyde and Mrs. Robert (Catherine) Burns, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. W. D. (Marcelene) Bainter, Fontana, Calif,; and Mrs. Frank (Cecelia) Manning, of Milwaukee; and 40 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Friends may call the Cornell Funeral Home Thursday afternoon and evening. The Rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Services will be held Friday morning at 9:30 o'clock at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Cornell, with Father Carl Meyer officiating. Interment will be in Catholic Cemetery
