Earl W. "Wes" Allen, 79, of Wataga, IL, formerly of Alexis, IL, passed away at 5:00 am, Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Seminary Manor, Galesburg, IL.

He was born October 12, 1939, in St. Augustine, IL, the son of Earl L. and Esther (Brock) Allen. Wes was raised and educated in Alexis, IL, and graduated from Alexis High School in 1957.

Wes served in the United States Air Force for 4 years.

He married Lois Elaine Niles on June 27, 1958, in Alexis, IL; she preceded him in death on August 2, 2004.

Wes owned and operated Allen Electric in Alexis for many years. He was a member of the Alexis Presbyterian Church, the Jaycees, and the local Masonic Lodges. Wes enjoyed going camping, fishing, and attending the many sporting events of his children and grandchildren.

Surviving Wes are his children, Linda (Edward) Lehan of Sauk City, WI, Connie (Brian) Tollakson, Waukesha, WI, Earl (Christina) Allen of Cambridge, IL, Patricia (Janell Romatowski) Allen of Eau Claire, WI; five grandchildren, John (Lisa Jansen) Lehan, Michelle (Dan LaBonte) Tollakson, Caitlin Allen, Andrew Allen, Brendan Allen; one great-grandchild, Azilynn Lehan; one sister, Maxine (Louis) Freeman of Keithsburg, IL; one brother, Robert (Michiko) Allen of Vacaville, CA; dear companion, Jean Culver of Wataga, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.

Memorial Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 20, 2019, at Alexis Presbyterian Church, Alexis, IL. Interment with Military Honors will be in Alexis Cemetery, Alexis, IL. Visitation will be before the service at the church from 9:00-11:00 a.m. Cremation rites have been accorded. Instead of flowers memorials can be made at the Alexis Presbyterian Church.
